The Kemper Farm, 1920s to 1970s
Since the early 1900s, Ben and Josephine Kemper owned a 100 + acre farm on Indiana Highway 62 at the Anderson River crossing (a creek really at that location). It was 70 miles west of Louisville. After Ben died in 1946 his son Otto ran the farm until 1963. Interstate 64, built in the 1960s-70s, cut off a portion of the farm from access to the farm house. I cannot remember when the farm was sold, probably in the early to mid 1970s.
