I believe there was another daughter born. I could find no records after the 1940 census. Also found no death record for parents, Joseph and Annie.
1940 census - Joe and Estelle Hayes now married and living in Shively on Dixie Hwy, both 30. I did not find marriage record. I think they moved to their Auburn Drive home in the mid to late 1940s. The Joe H. Hayes Electric. Co. was a major commercial and industrial electrical contractor. Joe's brothers, Luke and James, above, worked in the office and shop and were mainstays in the business. Luke (Bud) was the first guy I worked for when I started (1953) at Hayes Electric and I was the last guy he worked for when he retired 40 years later (1993).
