Edith Foster
Edith Irene Foster (1908-1993) married George Moody Wachtel (1906-1976) on ???
Edith Foster's father was Claude L. Foster b. 1883. Mother was Lydia R. Stith b. 1887.
On the 1910 census, the Fosters lived at 1530 Wilson Ave. This was 3 blocks south of Oak St between 15th and 16th Streets.
Two children - Ina B., 5 and Edith L., 2

On the 1920 census the Fosters still lived at 1539 Wilson Ave. Three children now - Ina 15, Edith 12 and William 7
On the 1930 census, the Fosters were living on Dixie Hwy. Claud was a pipefitter at a foundry and Edith a stenographer, if I remember right, at Aetna Insurance, southwest corner of 3rd and Oak. The building is still there. Ina not listed here so I suppose she was married,
George and Edith Wachtel had a house built by Al Schneider on Beechview court off Dixie Hwy in Shively. I'm guessing it was built in the early 1940s. The cost was around $4,500. The images below show the location in 1959 and 2006.
